Creative Writing @ Mundijong Library (with Lee Battersby) at Mundijong Public Library

Lee Battersby is an Australian author, magazine editor, and reviewer. He is the author of the novels ‘The Corpse-Rat King‘ (Angry Robot Books, 2012) and ‘The Marching Dead‘ (Angry Robot, 2013), as well as over 70 stories in Australia, the USA and Europe. A collection of his shorter work, entitled ‘Through Soft Air‘ has been published by Prime Books. A children’s novel, entitled ‘Magrit’, will be published by Walker Books in 2016.

Lee has served as editor for Midnight Echo, the magazine of the Australian Horror Writers Association, and submissions editor at Ticonderoga Online, a small press speculative fiction e-zine. He has reviewed for a variety of sources, including Ticonderoga Online, Ideomancer and Australian Spec-Fic in Focus.

As a teacher of writing, Lee has conducted workshops for the Katharine Susannah Prichard Writers Centre, Fellowship of Australian Writers and the Queensland Writers Centre, as well as tutoring at the international Clarion South writers “boot camp”. He has also developed and taught the Australian Writers Marketplace Online “Writing The SF Short Story” online course.
